Enlarged kitchen for a growing family.  Removing load bearing walls, installing engineered steel beams, utilizing space from adjacent rooms all while the family was able to live in the home.  We erected dust walls and installed a temporary kitchen to help facilitate this difficult situation.

Design features include built-in appliances, full tiled walls of handmade tiles, inset white oak cabinets, cust oak beam wraps, new walk-in pantry and much more.

Water runoff has been an issue for the client in the past so we installed a robust drainage system to facilitate site drainage.

A fun remodel in Historic NW Hickory.  We built a small addition off the rear of the home replacing a dilapidated covered porch to incorporate a new laundry/mudroom on this tight lot.  A dividing wall was removed between the original kitchen and front room to enlarge this eat-in kitchen.  Custom built cabinets with a multi-step furniture finish.  Thickened quartz countertops and full walls of tile.  We reinforced and flattened  the floors to install large-format, concrete-look floor tiles.  During the process we found out this 100-year-old home's basement floods so during the build we opted to upgrade the home's drainage system - hopefully preserving the home for the next 100 years
